No! Physical Therapists are functional movement specialists. We are able to identify limitations before they become a problem. As experts in the musculoskeletal system, we will find muscle imbalances that may contribute to future injuries. Take a look at our Services page where we target injury prevention and exercise progression to enhance performance.

We recommend calling your insurance company to verify your Out-of-Network benefits. At the time of your appointment, you pay a flat rate up front. Following your appointment, you can submit your receipt and Super Bill to your insurance for reimbursement, via phone or online portal. In recent years, the landscape of physical therapy has undergone a significant shift, particularly in the realm of reimbursement models. The traditional insurance-based system, once considered the standard, has seen a steady decline in reimbursement rates. This downward trend has compelled many clinics to adopt cost-cutting measures, often at the expense of quality care. As reimbursement rates diminish, clinics face the pressure to increase patient volume to maintain profitability. This has led to the concerning practice of double and even triple booking patients, a strategy aimed at maximizing revenue but detrimental to the quality of care provided.
In such insurance-driven environments, the focus often shifts from personalized, attentive care to meeting quotas and managing a high volume of patients. Physical therapists find themselves stretched thin, forced to divide their attention among multiple patients simultaneously. Additionally, to cope with the demand, clinics may resort to employing unskilled physical therapy technicians to administer treatments, further compromising the quality of care delivered.
In contrast, cash-based/out of network physical therapy practices offer a refreshing departure from the constraints imposed by insurance reimbursement models. By operating outside the confines of insurance mandates, these practices afford physical therapists the autonomy to prioritize patient care above all else. Without the burden of arbitrary billing codes and strict treatment quotas, therapists can allocate more time and attention to each patient, fostering a deeper level of engagement and personalized care.
At Theralete, decisions regarding patient care are driven by our clinical expertise rather than financial considerations. Our Doctors of Physical Therapy are empowered to tailor treatment plans according to the unique needs and goals of each individual. This autonomy not only enhances the quality of care but also fosters a trusting and collaborative relationship between therapist and patient.
Ultimately, the value proposition of out-of-network and cash-based physical therapy lies in its unwavering commitment to prioritizing quality over quantity. By liberating our therapists from the constraints of insurance-driven practices, we are able to uphold the integrity of patient care, ensuring that each individual receives the attention, expertise, and personalized treatment they deserve. This leads to greater patient satisfaction, faster recovery, and an overall elevated patient experience.
