Meet Yarden
Owner/Lead Therapist

PT, DPT, Dry Needling Certified, Certified Sports Nutrition Coach, TPI Certified
Yarden is the owner and lead Physical Therapist of Theralete.
She graduated in 2017 from University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Sciences and a minor in Psychology. Yarden then went on to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2020 from UConn, as well. During her time in her doctoral program, Yarden participated in post-operative ACL research. Yarden was honored with a position as graduate assistant of the UConn cadaver lab. During her clinical affiliation at EXOS, she was trained in Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SMFA). Since graduating, she has obtained her Dry Needling, TPI and Sports Nutrition Certifications and additional training in pain science and sport specific rehabilitation in gymnastics, golf and many other populations. Yarden has extensive knowledge of gymnastics as a former level 9 competitive gymnast, a club collegiate gymnast and a coach. In addition, she played soccer as a midfielder and forward and continues to enjoy playing in an adult league.
As a former athlete herself, Yarden has a special interest in the rehabilitation of athletes, and returning them to their sport. She is most passionate about utilizing specific functional exercise to target her patients’ impairments and allow them to gain the mobility, strength, and neuromotor control to meet the demands of their specific sport or hobbies and to accomplish their goals.
She feels it is important to prioritize rehabilitation following injury and surgery, but also injury risk reduction with full body assessment and individualized programming.
Yarden is avid about fitness and implements these notions into her PT and training to improve the overall function, health, and quality of life of her patients and clients.
In her free time, Yarden enjoys spending time with her dog, traveling, watching UConn games, hiking, working out, flipping around, playing soccer, and spending time with friends and family.
